That was exactly my thought when seeing the news at Cristi first thing this morning -- Google's firstly securing that Microsoft has no options in the ad game (in the grand way), and afterwards putting their money where their mouth is (Brin's) when judging in terms of opportunity costs. All in all is a fun strategic game to watch (funnier to play, that's true) and I certainly agree that  it's just a matter of months until Yahoo comes up in the strategic gameboard.
