Gmail - the debate continues
There's been several voices putting a lot of efforts in commenting the Gmail launch. The pros and cons are best summarized by Jeremy Zawodny and Tim O'Reilly with the first claiming that Gmail is just providing some incremental changes to the industry while the latter providing nine reasons for which all the fuss about its "issues" is bogus. I agree with Tim, obviously the 1 giga is a marketing gimmick and they seem to take the privacy issues very seriously. Plus that Google's history indicates a tradition of respecting its customers and I doubt that their strong culture will permit doing otherwise. And I also liked their product launching approach: releasing a beta version for a limited number of experts then heavily using their feedback.

  1. Gmail
I am using 1 Gigabyte email :-) But it is not Gmail, and it's free for whomever registers, not just a handful of users. It comes courtesy of <a target="_blank" href="http://www.spymac.com">Spymac</a>. I wanted to post about them but I have been too exhausted to do so...
  2. Re: Gmail
By the way, you should fix the HTML embedding; I thought your page supported it. Soweee...
  3. Re: Re: Gmail
Everything is functional on @rgumente and that means html does work also, you just forgot to check the html option from above the submit button. You could have seen by using the preview button - there's even tips for posting :)) As for the Gmail, I am more excited about a new cool product from Google rather than the 1 giga stuff - I for one don't think will store as much.
  4. posting
I've got ash in my hair now :-)
