However, having been living in Prague for a year, I think that the prices, while a bit higher in Prague than in Bucharest, are reflected somewhat in a better quality of life. But, as always, there are tradeoffs everywhere, some things you can get only in Bucharest. :)

...Alex is saying that he is aware of lower prices in Bucharest, which is understandable since I was providing some median prices...of course Czech/Prague should be replaced with Romanian/Bucharest, I didn't spend time to edit it hoping that the reader would get the idea fast since I was providing the original link.
The ADSL is cheaper actually, 31 euros from Romtelecom, 150 ron is what I pay monthly for a cable connection from Astral. (TV cable included)
One note to my (Romanian) readers: since this is an English-written website I would appreciate if your comments would be in English as well. Thanks and keep them coming.

Dear Sir,
I would like to know the cost of living for a single person in a town like Iasi in Romania.
What would be my monthly expenses including food, living (in an apartment with a kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom) and daily travel(i.e.through public transport)?
Even an approximation would help.
This information would greatly be appriciated.
Looking forward to your reply.
Regards
Adithya
