Immigration affecting macro indicators
I wrote about the situation in Romania - Anita mentions that apparently the Latin Americans living in US will send back home about $30bn in 2004. For a comparison, the Romanian GDP is about $54bn.

    Hey Dragos, you make a good point, and this is an interesting aspect of globalization that is often missed. No country is an island by itself. We can't see the true picture of our own country's economies unless we consider the big picture. That includes workers working abroad, companies employing foreign workers, etc. I enjoy your blog very much. Best, Anita
