An UK versus USA argument regarding coolio startups being founded, and which, to a certain respect can reduce to the right angel/VC (early stage funding) atitude and tech&business combo understanding from each side of the pond. This translates into the right environment actually and, to a larger extent, it can become an Europe versus US innovation premises creation argument. Btw, at Reboot I met lots of people running, working or being involved in cool European startups.

Dear Dragos. I don't think you can compare the US and European start up industries... in Denmark for example I am working very hard with groups ( of ladies) to get them to see that even though their companies aren't production companies - but more soft ( as women tend to be) they are still valuable ! still the danish government don't see that. every year the start up award goes to a male between 25 and 35 with no kids who sacrifices his life to make a production company. females are not as risky. we tend to multitask much better. as well as the european start ups don't have the same atmosphere as U.S.. maybe we should write a "european dream" manifesto ? all the best Henriette Prograes - Embassy of Creativity http://henriette.prograes.com
